Vacation Accrual
Vacation is accrued each pay period, and in accordance with the following schedule:

Sick Time
Canadian employees have up to 10 working days of paid sick leave during each year of service. Sick days are annual and do not accumulate.
Pandemic Sick Time
In addition to the 10 days of Sick Time full-time employees receive annually, Marvell provides 10 days of Pandemic Sick Time for use if you are unable to work because you or a family member living with you or near you for whom you provide care becomes sick with COVID-19, or because you are attending a vaccine appointment or cannot work or telework due to vaccine-related symptoms. Employees may be eligible for additional time off related to the pandemic based on local and state requirements. Please check ServiceNow for the latest COVID updates from the company.
Volunteer Time Off Program
Marvell’s Volunteer Time Off Program offers employees up to 3 days or 24 hours of paid time off to volunteer at eligible organizations that align with Marvell’s philanthropy pillars*. Manager approval is required prior to participating in this Program.

Holidays

Year-End Shutdown
Marvell's Canada offices will be closed from Monday, December 23, 2024 through Wednesday, January 1, 2025. Work will resume on Tuesday, January 2, 2025. Please refer to HR ServiceNow for more information.
LEAVES
Jury Duty
The company provides employees with regular pay or wages for the duration of jury or witness duty.
Employees are eligible for 3 days of paid leave for jury/witness leave with the fourth (4th) day being unpaid with job protection.
Bereavement Leave
Employees are eligible for 3 days in any year of service in case of death of immediate family (spouse, child, or parents and in-laws of same).
Leaves of Absence
- Pregnancy Leave - Canadian employees may be eligible for up to 17 weeks of pregnancy leave.
- Family Medical Leave - Employees may be eligible to take an unpaid leave to care for a seriously ill family member with a significant risk of death, unless otherwise specified under the applicable provincial employment standards legislation. The Company may require the employee to present a medical certification confirming that a family member is gravely ill.
- Paid Parental Leave: After 6 months of employment, employees are eligible for 16 weeks of top-up pay during your maternity or parental leave to care for and bond with your new family member. Fully policy can be found in the Canada Employee Handbook.
- Parental Leave - New parents have the right to take parental leave of up to 61 or 63 weeks of unpaid time off work. Parents must begin their parental leave no later than 52 weeks after the date the baby is born or the date their child first came into their care, custody, and control and must be taken all at once.
- For employees in BC and Ontario:

- 61 weeks: Birth mothers who take pregnancy leave are entitled to take up to 61 weeks of parental leave.
- 63 weeks: All other new parents are entitled to take up to 63 weeks of parental leave.

- 52 weeks: New parents are entitled to take up to 52 weeks of parental leave.
