Helping the Helpers: Combating Compassion Fatigue (Caregiver)
Hosted by Lyra

People in job roles that support the well-being of others are providing a noble service, but that service can take a toll. Compassion fatigue can be the cost of helping people through their personal or professional challenges over an extended period of time—particularly when providing that support amidst the turbulence of a global pandemic. Fortunately, compassion fatigue is neither inevitable nor untreatable. This workshop will explain what compassion fatigue is, how it develops, and most importantly, how to combat it via practical, evidence-based strategies that encourage resilience, boundaries, and prioritizing your mental and physical health. With these tools, you’ll be equipped to prevent or reverse compassion fatigue no matter where you are on your journey.
